After over a decade working with bodies and pain, I've developed a treatment philosophy that is results-driven and patient-centered. Although I started a pre-medical curriculum in college, I quickly realized that Western medicine primarily uses the tools of pharmaceutical drugs and surgery to address illness, and focuses more on damage control than preservation of health. I wanted different tools, and I craved a more holistic perspective, so I took time off to study massage therapy and discovered a wealth of natural health resources including acupuncture and herbal medicine. After finishing my undergraduate degree I worked with an acupuncturist in Philadelphia and witnessed some profound changes to my own health. I completed the 4-year Masters in Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco, and continue to learn every day from elder teachers, colleagues, and--best of all--from and with my patients.
